Safety first — keep your attention on the road

Set up your route, phone and tracker before you start driving or riding. Keep your eyes on the road and your attention on traffic, people and conditions around you. Do not type, read messages, study statistics or change app or device settings while moving. If you need to interact with the service, pull over and park safely and legally first, or ask a passenger to help.

Always follow road signs, signals, local rules and actual conditions, even when app guidance differs. Use voice guidance and securely mounted devices only when safe and lawful; they can still distract you. Trip Reaper is an aid and does not replace your judgment or responsibility for safe vehicle operation.

What Trip Reaper provides

Trip Reaper provides software for collecting, processing and storing supported vehicle and journey data, displaying vehicle tracking, and producing history and statistics. Available functions depend on your account, plan, app and compatible equipment. Our service fees cover the software features described in the selected plan.

Devices and SIM cards are not included free of charge

A Trip Reaper account, subscription, free app or trial does not include a free GPS tracker, phone, SIM or eSIM, mobile data plan, accessories, maintenance or replacement equipment. You must obtain and pay for the equipment and connectivity you need separately. Listing a compatible device or providing setup instructions does not mean we supply it or pay its operating costs.

GPS tracker installation

Trip Reaper does not provide GPS tracker installation services. On request, we can provide a list of companies that offer installation. You choose the installer and arrange the work, price, appointment and any installation warranty directly with that company. Installation is a separate service provided and charged for by the installer. Our setup guidance and a company listing do not constitute installation by Trip Reaper.

Separate operator and third-party charges

Depending on your country, mobile operator, tariff and usage, additional charges may apply for a SIM or eSIM, activation, recurring service, mobile data, configuration SMS, roaming, use beyond included allowances and applicable taxes. These charges are separate from Trip Reaper fees and are payable to the relevant provider under its own contract. We do not set or include your operator's prices or guarantee a fixed data allowance. A free Trip Reaper feature does not make network usage free.

Check compatibility, coverage and tariffs

Before purchasing or connecting a device, check its supported model and protocol, local mobile network availability, SIM and data-plan requirements, APN settings and safe installation requirements. Confirm prices, limits and permission for tracker or IoT use with your operator, including roaming in every country you intend to visit. Data usage depends on reporting frequency, journey duration and the features used. Background phone activity and independent trackers can use mobile data even when you are not viewing the app.

Tracking availability and lawful use

Tracking and statistics depend on received data. Power loss, GPS reception, mobile coverage, exhausted credit, operator restrictions, device faults or service interruptions can cause missing, delayed or inaccurate readings. Continuous tracking is not guaranteed, and the service is not an emergency response or guaranteed vehicle-recovery service. You must be authorized to track the vehicle, inform people whose location may be recorded and obtain any consent or other authority required by applicable law. Fleet operators remain responsible for the notices and lawful monitoring arrangements required for their drivers and staff.

Stopping tracking and separate subscriptions

Pausing tracking, cancelling a Trip Reaper subscription, uninstalling an app or deleting a Trip Reaper account does not cancel a SIM, mobile tariff or another provider's contract. Manage those services and any continuing charges directly with the provider. Stop or reconfigure the tracking device separately if you want it to stop transmitting. These terms do not limit consumer or data-protection rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

1. The service

Trip Reaper provides tools for route planning, journey recording, vehicle records, maintenance reminders, fuel or charging history, travel expenses, trip ideas, and compatible installed GPS-device configuration. Features may depend on an available Gateway, Transport service, map provider, mobile device, or GPS receiver.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and protect your local Trip Reaper password and active sessions. Personal registration is controlled by the website administrator. Enterprise registration requires an email-bound one-time code, active organizational eligibility, and an assigned Gateway. Codes are not passwords and must not be shared.

3. Safe and lawful use

You remain responsible for driving, riding, route choice, vehicle condition, required licenses, insurance, borders, road restrictions, and compliance with local law. Never interact with Trip Reaper while operating a vehicle when doing so would be unsafe or unlawful.

4. Route and trip information

Routes, traffic estimates, trip ideas, distances, durations, weather references, and maintenance reminders are planning aids. They may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Verify current road closures, borders, weather, fuel or charging availability, vehicle restrictions, and official safety guidance before travel.

5. GPS and installed devices

GPS accuracy and availability vary. You must have authority to install and use a tracker on a vehicle and to collect its location. Do not use Trip Reaper to track a person or vehicle without lawful authorization and appropriate notice. Device installation should follow the manufacturer’s instructions and be performed safely.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access another account, discover or misuse Gateway credentials, overload the service, submit malicious content, bypass security controls, or use the contact form for spam. Administrators may restrict access necessary to protect users and infrastructure.

7. Availability and changes

The service may be updated, interrupted, or placed into maintenance mode. Features and integrations may change as providers, devices, and service contracts evolve. Material changes to these terms should be reflected by updating the effective date.

8. Disclaimer and responsibility

Trip Reaper is provided as a planning and record-keeping tool, not professional navigation, mechanical, legal, emergency, or safety advice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for decisions and actions taken during travel and vehicle operation.
